with Gary Carter
Structural and Movement Integration works to rebalance and help your body find its own natural alignment within gravity. It is designed to unwind patterns of strain that occur through inefficient movement patterns and habits. Habitual movement causes a postural pattern that we automatically “fall” into and this creates a change in structure, function and behaviour.
Through deep sensitive hands on work and movement practice these patterns can be recognized. This helps with ease of movement bringing a sense of lightness, freedom, lift and grace to everyday movement and function. Which after all……. Is our birthright!
It is also of huge benefit for injuries, post physio work and for athletes, Yoga and Pilates teachers and practitioners looking to enhance and refine their work.
Gary Carter has over 25 years of experience in movement, physical training, anatomical study and bodywork practice, with a background in athletics, competition cycling, bodybuilding, martial arts, Yoga and manual therapies, including shiatsu, craniosacral therapy, structural integration and personal training. He has created his own unique way of working which he incorporates into his teaching. He created the natural Bodies Centre 16 years ago where he runs Yoga teachers programmes, and lectures in anatomy of movement to Yoga schools and Pilates schools nationwide.
