Try a bowel cleanse – cleanse and rejuvenate your body and feel fantastic!
A Bowel Cleanse is a simple non-invasive process. Each cleanse will be individually tailored to your needs but the basic process will be the same. There are 3 main aspects to the cleanse:
1. Taking a bulking agent, called Psyllium with a clay and lots of water, to bulk up the stool and as an “intestinal broom”.
2. Possibly taking herbs (in capsule or tincture form) to soften up faecal matter that has become impacted on the bowel wall and needs to be removed.
3. Adding “friendly” bacteria (pro-biotics) such as Acidophilus
In order to make the cleanse more effective you may need to make a few changes to your diet: e.g. increasing the amount of fluids and eating a diet low in mucus-forming foods (such as dairy, soya, white flour, meat, oranges).
It is best to give the process at least a month to work. It is easy and safe to incorporate this into your daily life. Throughout the process, you will be under the guidance and support of Janna or Anne – our Naturopaths.
